One of the things I love most about living in PNW is the easy access to magical hiking spots just a short drive away. Yes, the winter does limit the areas you can safely hike, but this time of year I like to hit up the more popular trails along the I-90 corridor that are overloaded with people during the warmer months. The bonus? They’re only a quick 45 minute drive from Seattle, making it easy to get in a short hike before it’s time for brunch!
So, a couple weeks ago, my friend Mal and I decided to head to the popular Rattlesnake Ledge trail. It’s an easy hike with amazing views for the little bit of effort you have to put into it. Even in the winter, I recommend that you go early or head up for sunset – just don’t forget your headlamp!
